Google Stops Using External Reviews For Its Business Version Google has stopped taking feedbacks from Google users and competing website users. Through its feature, “Google Places”, Google had invited feedback from different users and critics to give their views on its latest development, Google+. But, according to media reports, Google has stopped taking external reviews. As reported by Reuters last week, on Thursday, Google made its decision public and posted it on its official blog. According to the report, this decision was a follow up for the news that stated an antitrust investigation by the US government, against Google’s business practices. The report also stated that Google was posting excerpts of reviews from TripAdvisor and Yelp on its Google Places, which is responsible for providing information on local businesses. But, not all the sites Google took reviews from supported this activity. As per a report in The Wall Street Journal, some sites that disagreed with Google, complained about this practice. |
