Mozilla Promises Better Performance And Enhanced Memory Space, With Its New Release: Firefox 7

With its world wide release version of Firefox 7, Mozilla has taken a step for increasing the browser performance. The best thing about firefox 7, which has interested firefox users, is the reduction in the memory usage.

Mozilla initiated a project named “MemShrink”, which worked on the objective to reduce the browser’s system impact. Based on this objective, firefox 7 has the capability to reduce the memory usage caused during various memory engaging activities. When the browser is kept open for long periods of time, when the browser is used concurrently with other programs and when multiple tabs are open at once, lots of memory space is used up. With firefox 7, this memory usage is reduced to minimum. Firefox 7 is also provided with a new reporting measure called Telemetry. Telemetry takes care of four categories: CPU core count, memory usage, start up speed and cycle collection times.

Other extensive features of Firefox 7 include a new version of support for the W3C navigation timing API that allows developers to measure page load time and site navigation. It also includes hardware-accelerated Canvas for faster HTML5 games and animations. Firefox 7 is provided with new Quit features that help you to exit from the browser. The browser also now auto-detects your system default language. However, from the new Preferences option, you can change the language displayed in the browser.

Therefore, with Firefox 7, Mozilla has achieved its goals to enhance its performance with reduced memory loss.
