Subscription Plans Added For Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Adobe has recently launched its Subscription Editions that include a service model for Creative Suite 5.5 software. This software for CS5.5 allows its users to subscribe any of its individual packages or suites, on a monthly or yearly basis. The basic topic for the debate going around among Adobe’s customers for subscribing CS5.5 rather than renting it is about, whether it is beneficial to continue renting CS5.5 or to own it through the subscription plan? Though, some appreciate this initiative of Adobe, as it gives them the opportunity to test the software before owning it at a larger amount; others are criticizing Adobe for this take, as they prefer being the boss themselves. They don’t want Adobe to decide the time and cost for short term usage of this software. As posted by David Blatner on the Macworld.com, “a lending library is a great way to test the waters, or take advantage of a short-term use. But if you’re serious about publishing with these tools, you’re going to opt for ownership. After all, when it comes to renting software, you have to ask yourself some important questions.” Similar feedbacks were obtained by many others. Hence, the debate still continues.
