The White Macbook had stepped in the laptop world with a fresh look of milky white impression that significantly marked it apart from the contemporary laptop looks. It carried a look that introduced an aura of interest in the prevailing boring aluminium or black body look. But very soon it would be rather considered to be a pleasant memory. Relevant sources of technology news revealed that Apple has announced a decree against the Macbook and hence the availability of the same is withdrawn from its range of products tagging the event as, “The End of Life”. In point of fact Apple had drawn a line for the range of White Macbook right in July last year with the thought of getting the product line revamped. It was then that the spare units of the Macbook Air were circulated to students and educational institutions. There was an effort to induce buyers to head for the 13 inch Macbook Pro. As reports convey, Apple had also intimated sellers about their decision on discontinuation of white Macbook production and hence bringing the distribution channel to a halt. Macbook first gushed into the notebook world in 2006 and this year also witnessed corresponding events of refurbishing Powerbook towards Macbook Pro. This time was also a bystander of Apple-Intel transition that initiated Macbook as a replacement of iBook. Macbook was revamped from time to time in three separate designs. The original look comprised of a combination of polycarbonate and fiberglass casing. The second model, launched in October 2008, was designed in a unibody aluminum casing. Third design was unveiled by the month of October 2009 that surfaced a unibody polycarbonate shell. The White Macbook introduced certain unique features that bagged immense praises. It had chic designed chiclet keyboard that is a common feature for Apple laptops. It had a wide screen with vivid displays. It also claimed accolades by loyal Apple customers for using Intel processors for the first time among the Apple product line. Owing to the prior unpopularity and complains against the few of the prior polycarbonates that executed random shutdowns, Apple initiated firmware to address the issue. The common grievances owing to discoloration or chipping palmrests were no more into existence. Apple requested customers to report to Apple care lest they face issues regarding the chipping and peeling off of palm rest edges and screen bezel. Some Macbooks also disgusted owners owing to the rubber bottom bubbling and peeling off. Apple accepted and took the issues seriously and consented to get those devices replaced for free, with or without warranty. Apart from the said issues, White Macbook was a pleasure to use for the owners and they would be eagerly awaiting a revamped model of Macbook to allure the established computing experience. |
