Technology News – Google Docs introduces 450 new fonts and 60 new templates

It came as a real good news for font lovers of font styles like Bree Serif, Kaushan Script, and Lovers Quarrel and such other different scripts would now be widely available while you work on Google Docs. As reported by a technology news source that the Web giant Google proclaimed of having added 450 new fonts and 60 new templates to make its word processing program more interesting.
Through a company blog post the Google software engineer Isabella IP stated, “Often the best way to get your point across is to present your idea in a creative, captivating way. Today, we added over 450 new fonts to Google documents to make it easier for you to add a little something extra to whatever you create.”
Selecting the preferred new font would be done simply by clicking on the font menu in Google Docs and then select “add fonts”. On doing so the user would be directed to a menu that comprises of all the available Google Web Fonts. The users are offered with a wide array of fonts ranging from straightforward and business-like, scripty to cartoonish and many such font types. The available fonts are the same font styles that are offered on Web Fonts site Google meant for the designers.
These are not all Google has also introduced 60 brand new templates which are effectively designed to facilitate at work, home, school, fun, holiday, and many such conditions. Google’s newly initiated templates for instance resumes, newsletters, recipes, photo sharing, and legal invoices, etc. Working on Google docs now has become quite promising and more interesting.
It is quite evident by now and is a clear fact that Google has brought about drastic improvements on its word processing program since it was launched back in 2007. One of the most significant improvements witnessed in the previous year was its inclusion of more than 200 updates to the core apps suite. It is an apparent fact that the consecutive updates and improvements implemented are influencing users to make a move to Google Doc from Microsoft Word.
Apart from the aforementioned updates Google Docs have more options to offer adding images into documents, charts in spreadsheets including minor gridline support and customization as well as now users would be enabled with the ability for setting the default page size for new documents.
