Computer Tips – Gmail Keyboard Shortcut combination

Gmail is a very widely used and accessed email service.  But with its extensive use one should know the shortcuts to work faster and more extensively while using the gmail mailing system both in professional and personal front. To make use of this shortcuts, the user has to set the Keyboard Shortcuts Setting for Gmail is to “on” in Gmail Settings window.

Below are the computer tips that provide a few shortcuts that can be used through combinations of keystrokes to increase the speed of navigating among top level views like Inbox, Sent Mail, All Mail, Spam, Trash, Drafts, Contacts and Tasks.  The shortcuts are displayed in Upper case though the keystroke combinations are not case sensitive. Press the 1st key and then the corresponding key suggested.

• G + I –  To open the Inbox.
• G  + S –  to open Starred mails.
• G  + T –  To open Sent Mail.
• G  + D –   To open Drafts.
• G  + A –  To open All Mail.
• G  + C–  To open Contacts.
• G  + K –  To open Tasks.

Hence, next time you log in to Gmail, your mail surfing would be more swift and crisp.
